The 2015 Pullar Family Championships serves as a qualifying meet to the , the Australian Age Championships (14-17 April 2016, Sydney), Australian Open Championships (TBC 5-8 May 2016, Ringwood) and the Australian Elite Junior Championships (8-10 July 2016, Adelaide) This is one of three local competitions in which divers have the opportunity to make their qualifying score for their respective nationals.  Please consult your coach before registering for this event.

Competition Fee: 

  • $39 Registration
  • $23 /event (Age, EJ & Open 1m)
  • $35 /event (Open 3m & Plat)
  • $15 Synchro ($30 per team)
  • $15 Team Event ($30 per team)

Entry Deadline:  

  • Monday 5 October (midnight)
  • Entries are online only via the Diving Victoria website
  • Divers wishing to add an event to an existing registration before the entry deadline, Must call DV office to process (9686 7534 or 0411 863 483)

Late Entries:

  • $75 Registration, $23 or $35 /event , $15 Synchro, $15 Team
  • Divers will dive by invitation (not eligible for placing or any points) may still achieve a national qualifying score

Add an Event Late:

  • Divers wishing to add an event to an existing registration after the entry deadline but before the Dive Sheet Deadline $38 or $50 /event, $30 for Synchro or Team, Must call DV office to process (9686 7534 or 0411 863 483) Divers will compete by invitation in that event only

Late Entry Deadline: 

  • Sunday 11 October (midnight)

Eligibility:

  • Age is as of 31 December 2016 for ALL Events
  • Divers must be registered as financial members of Diving Victoria as a Diver – Level 4, Country Diver or Coach to compete.  If you are unsure of your eligibility, please contact the Diving Victoria Office. Divers may upgrade their membership by contacting the Diving Victoria office
  • Divers must be competing in an individual event to compete synchro or Team. Age event to dive Age Synchro/Team, EJ event to dive EJ Synchro/Team, Open event to dive Open Synchro/Team

Dive Requirements: 

  • The 2016 National Qualifying Standards have just been released– these new qualifying criteria will apply (no significant changes)
  • Team diving criteria

    1) The team diving competition involves one female and one male diver

    2) All dives will be from 3m or platform

    3) Every competition shall comprise six (6) different dives from six (6) different groups. Two (2) dives with an assigned degree of difficulty of 2.0 for each dive regardless of the formula and four (4) dives without limit of degree of difficulty

    4) Three (3) dives shall be executed by the female competitor, the other three (3) dives by the male competitor. Each diver must perform at least one (1) dive from the 3m springboard and one (1) dive from the platform. (Age and Elite Junior Divers may perform their platform dive from 5m, 7m or 10m, Open divers may only use the 10m)

    5) The two (2) dives with an assigned degree of difficulty of 2.0 regardless of the formula may be executed at any time and from from either 3m or platform by each team member, one (1) by the male and one (1) by the female

    6) The diving order is drawn by teams, which will perform in three (3) rounds succeeding each other and starting with any of the two performing divers

Age Synchro:

  • All Divers must stay within their age group for Synchro

Open events:

  • Minimum Victorian DDs apply. DV Minimums have been set at 95% of the DA B/C Group minimums.  (These DV minimums may go down if the DA minimums lower, but they will not increase)  In order to qualify for Nationals, DA Minimum DDs must be met
  • Feet first entires are not allowed on Springboard

NEPP Events:

  • Level 1: 6 dives from DA list
  • Level 2: 8 dives from DA list
  • NOTE: competing in NEPP does not provide an opportunity to qualify for nationals

Pathway:

  • All divers may choose to dive in either Elite Junior events or Age events, but not both.  All divers that meet the criteria may choose Open
  • If a diver qualifies for Elite Junior Nationals on one board only, they may still compete at Age States and Age Nationals
  • If a diver qualifies for Elite Junior Nationals on two boards or more, they are ineligible for Age States or Age Nationals
  • If a diver competes in NEPP (Elite Junior Pathway), they may still go back to the Age stream this season, but will then be ineligible for Elite Junior States or Elite Junior Nationals in 2016

Dive Sheets:  

  • Due via Dive Recorder www.diverecorder.co.uk before 9am Thursday 15 October
  • Late sheets or late changes - if accepted - will result in a diver competing by invitation (not eligible for placing or any points)

Spectator Entry & Fee:  

  • Competitors, Coaches & Officials: Free
  • Spectators: $2.50
  • Payable at MSAC reception
  • Entrance via the Stage 2 (Aquatic) Entrance Only
