The 2023 Pullar Family Diving Championships serves as a qualifying meet to the Australian Age Championships (11-14 April 2024, Ringwood, VIC), Australian Open Championships (6-9 June 2024, Adelaide, SA) and the Australian Elite Junior Championships (26-29 September 2024, Brisbane, QLD) This is a local competition in which divers have the opportunity to achieve their qualifying score for their respective nationals. Please consult your coach before registering for this event.

Due to great success last year we have decided to once again incorporate 2 novice events into the championships to bridge the gap between beginner divers and qualifying for the State Team. Please see details and requirements below:

Novice Little Rippers - 4 Dives

DIVE 1: 100A/C OR 10B

DIVE 2: 200A/C OR 20A

DIVE 3: 101A/B/C OR 201A/B/C

DIVE 4: Divers choice (must be different to dive 3)

**ALL DIVES CAN BE DONE ON 1M OR 3M**

 

Novice Little Flippers - 5 Dives

DIVE 1: 100A/C OR 10B

DIVE 2: 200A/C OR 20A

DIVE 3: 101A/B/C OR 201A/B/C

DIVE 4: Divers choice (must be different to dive 3)

DIVE 5: Divers choice (must be different to dive 3 + 4)

**ALL DIVES CAN BE DONE ON 1M OR 3M**

 

The 2023 Championship will introduce a Team Event. On Friday morning, teams will be announced, teams will include a mix of age and skill level. Everyone who enters the Pullar Championships will be allocated a team. The Team Event will take place in Session 3 (Saturday Afternoon). Each team member needs to compete a synchronized dive with each other team member, in total each team will compete 6 dives. Each of the 6 dives must be different dives. They will have time throughout the training sessions (particularly Friday evening's session) to practice with their team.

  • Friday 17 November – Sunday 19 November 2023

Venue: 

  • MSAC, Albert Park

Competition Fee: 

  • $24 Registration

  • $31 per event ($25 for Novice Events)

  • $20 Synchro

Entry Deadline:  

  • Sunday 5 November (midnight)

  • Entries are online only via the Diving Victoria website

  • Divers wishing to add an event to an existing registration before the entry deadline, Must call DV Event Manager (Molly Roche - see details below)

Late Entries:

  • Registration fee ($24) + Late Registration fee ($24) = $48 (+ cost of events entering)

  • Divers may still achieve a national qualifying score

Late Entry Deadline: 

  • Sunday 12 November (midnight)

Eligibility:

  • Age is as of 31 December 2024 for ALL Events

  • Divers must be registered as financial members of Diving Victoria as a State Level Diver or Coach to compete in qualifying events or Participation Divers to compete in novice events.  If you are unsure of your eligibility, please contact the DV Event Manager (Molly Roche - see details below). Divers may upgrade their membership by logging into their account and selecting UPGRADE

Dive Requirements: 

  • The 2023 DA Qualifying Criteria will apply. If the 2024 Criteria are published more than 2 weeks before the start of the compeititon, the new criteria will apply

Age Synchro:

  • All Divers must stay within their age group for Synchro

Open events:

  • Minimum Victorian DDs apply. DV Minimums have been set at 95% of the DA B/C Group minimums.  (These DV minimums may go down if the DA minimums lower, but they will not increase)  In order to qualify for Nationals, DA Minimum DDs must be met

  • Feet first entires are not allowed on Springboard for Open events

  • Divers must be diving in an individual Open event to enter Open Synchro

Pathway:

  • All divers may choose to dive in either Elite Junior events or Age events, but not both.  All divers that meet the criteria may choose Open

  • If a diver qualifies for Elite Junior Nationals on one board only, they may still compete at Age States and Age Nationals

  • If a diver qualifies for Elite Junior Nationals on two boards or more, they are ineligible for Age States or Age Nationals

Dive Sheets:  

  • Due via Dive Recorder www.diverecorder.co.uk before 9am Thursday 16 November

  • Late sheets or late changes - if accepted - will result in a diver competing by invitation

Awards:

  • Medals presented to the top three eligible finishers per event

  • Club Trophy awarded to the top finishing team based on the point allocation process

Spectator Entry & Fee:  

  • Competitors, Coaches & Officials: Free

  • Spectators: Free
