2026 SSV TeamVic Selection Trials

Diving Victoria is proud to partner with School Sport Victoria (SSV) and hold the 2026 SSV TeamVic Selection Trials. These Selection Trials will be held at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre, Albert Park on Saturday, 2nd May, 2026.

This event will serve as the only selection opportunity for athletes to join TeamVic and represent Victoria at the 2026 School Sport Australia Diving Championships. 

The 2026 School Sport Australia Diving Championships will be held as part of the School Sport Australia Games in Melbourne from 25th - 31st July 2026. The diving events will be held at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre, Albert Park. 

These Selection Trials are open to all student-athletes between the age of 10 and 19 (as at 31st December, 2026). This includes all individuals born between calendar years 2007 and 2016.

Diving Victoria and School Sport Australia encourage all divers who can satisfy the event dive requirements for their Age Group (see below) to consider attending these Trials. 

Event and Age Group Dive Requirements

Please note: Springboard events include any combination of 1 metre and/or 3 metre dives and maximum board height restrictions may apply for some Platform events. No dives may be repeated. 

If you are not a current member of Diving Victoria, please note this on your registration form so that Diving Victoria may connect you with a friendly diving coach that will assist you throughout your warm-up and competition.

Competition Fee:

• $25 Registration
  • + $15 per event (Springboard and/or Platform)

Entry Deadline:

• Entries close Sunday, 26th April at 11:59pm.
• Divers wishing to add an event to an existing registration before the entry deadline must email Diving Victoria via events@divingvictoria.com.au

Dive Sheets:

• Dive Sheets (the list and order of dives each entrant will compete) are due to be submitted by Thursday, 30th April at 9:00am
• At Diving Victoria events, Dive Sheets are to be submitted via DiveRecorder (www.diverecorder.co.uk) through the "Online Sheets" tab.
• Late sheets or changes after the deadline - if accepted - may result in a diver being ineligible for TeamVic selection.

Additional SSV Information

Age Eligibility:

• Students turning 9 years old in 2026 are ineligible for selection
• In springboard events, students will compete in single-year age groups only i.e. 10 years old, 11 years old etc.

SSV Member Schools

• Trialling for Team Vic is only possible if your child’s school is a financial member of School Sport Victoria (SSV) for 2026.
• SSV will contact you if the school your child attends is not a financial member.

Trials Progression:

• Trial participants are required to participate in the Team Vic Diving Selection Trial.
• There will be no other trials in the selection process including the SSV State Championships.
• Selectors reserve the right to consider divers who, at the time of the trials, are competing at an event deemed to be of a higher status.
