New CEO Announced

The Board of Diving Victoria is pleased to announce the appointment of David Hunsdale as the new Chief Executive Officer for Diving Victoria.

David is currently the General Manager of BTYC Gymnastics - one of Victoria's largest not-for-profit sporting clubs located in Donvale, which comprises over 80 staff and services 1,700+ members. His extensive skills and experiences extend across many facets including member services and relationship management, strategic planning and operational delivery, coaching and education pathways and financial management. Along with this, David has successfully developed and implemented a variety of participation and pathway programs, with a strong focus on customer care and communication, which has resulted in increased membership and performances within the BTYC Gymnastics Club.

New Diving Victoria CEO, David Hunsdale, said that he is excited to be joining Diving Victoria, meeting members and visiting clubs, and making a positive contribution to the sport: "This is an incredibly exciting role for me, in an incredibly exciting sport and I can’t wait to meet the outstanding clubs, coaches, leaders, volunteers and participants, across the state. The knowledge, experience and passion that exists in the Victorian Diving community today, is the perfect resource to secure a bright future for the sport and I look forward to getting started."

David will officially commence in the role on Wednesday 31st March 2021 however over the next few weeks David will be introduced to the Board and staff, and we are hopeful that he may be available to meet some of our members at forthcoming competitions in early March.

The Board is looking forward to working with David and providing him with the necessary support so that he can continue to build upon the strong foundations built by the outgoing CEO, Megan Simpson, and the Diving Victoria Board over the past two years.
